I created a new personal record today! Usually it takes about 15-20 minutes for me to ride home from school, but today I did it in 10 minutes flat. If I had any lives to spare, I probably used them all up running red lights, swerving through traffic and barreling down 21st street in the highest gear possible. What an adrenalin rush! My death and dying class was pretty good too. The most interesting part of the lecture was when he was talking about how many people have been accidentally buried alive in the past. In many places where they dig up graves for urban development, they find coffins with scratch marks on the inside, clothes torn apart and other signs of a person struggling to get out. Freaky. Oh, I have to mention Sunday night. I went out with James, Jen and Heather to the Disturbed/Chevelle/Taproot concert. The concert was at the Memorial Auditorium, which is about two blocks from my apartment. There was a bunch of booze left over from Friday night's party and since no one was driving, we got ourselves flying three sheets to the wind in no time. I haven't had that much to drink in a long time. The pre-concert fun was at least equal to, if not greater than, the fun had at the concert. We celebrated 4/20 by sharing a joint in a great way - blowing the smoke while kissing. Whee! We took about fifty pictures before the concert - proof that there was some wierd shit going on! Borrowing a line from Elegant Freak: "...yes I am editing for content." Taproot opened the concert with this Indian music that sounded fantastic - I totally got into it. I didn't think I was going to like them as much as I did. They turned out to be pretty damn good. Second came Chevelle, the highlight of the evening, IMHO. They've got talent. Disturbed rocked that little place like a mofo, but I was disturbed (pun intended) by the political statements that the lead singer was spouting off somewhere in the middle. Of course, if one were to actually listen to some of the lyrics, it all makes sense - they're fucking disturbed. Duh. When is Jess coming back? Damn I miss her! It sucks ass now that Kim's gone 'Down Under' and Jess is off on her mission to give the boyz of Europe a real sex education. I can't wait to hear all the stories. I'm willing to wager an eighth that she's a changed person when she gets back. Favorite song of the moment: Tricky & Portishead - Hell Is Around the Corner. You won't regret downloading it. Alright, enough's enough. I just upgraded my Diaryland to gold, so expect changes.
